Walter Bembenista is a Senior Advisor based in New York. His area of expertise is in early-stage financings, offering clients the benefit of his extensive legal and tax advisory experience.

Walter formerly was General Counsel of Living Independently Group, Inc., the developer of QuietCare®, an innovative, wireless sensor/Internet-based behavioral monitoring system for assisted living communities, now owned by GE. Previously, he was Vice President of Operations for Fastwired, LLC, a business accelerator with investments in mobile sales force software and Internet technologies.

Walter has also served as Senior Vice President of Investment Banking at Josephthal & Co., Inc., a NYSE-member investment banking and brokerage firm, where he was active in private placements and middle market mergers and acquisitions.

Earlier in his career, he was Vice President of Taxes for Associated Dry Goods Corporation, a $4-billion NYSE-listed department store company; for Tri-Star Pictures, a movie production joint venture among HBO, CBS and Columbia Pictures, for Esquire, Inc., a NYSE-listed communications company, and he served as International Tax Counsel for Joseph E. Seagram & Sons, Inc.
